Stacey and Will 2019

The cottages were absolutely amazing, clean and spacious with everything to such a high standard and in the perfect relaxing setting for us all to stay. As I was getting married locally but not living in the area and with family and bridesmaids travelling from afar it was the perfect base for us all.

Thank you so much for all the photos you took and for the horseshoe - it was so kind and I have such lovely memories.

I stayed at Angela's property for a whole month (Nov 2017) whilst on a work project in the Daventry area. In short it was excellent. For those who want a longer review read on..... This was the first time I had used AirBnB so I wasn't sure what to expect. I needn't have worried. Angela was communicative from the onset (fast with responses too) Everything was as described/expected .... if not better. The location is in the quiet countryside, but you're only 15 minutes from the A14 or M1 or Daventry. There are nice local villages nearby (2 miles each way)with amenities and there is major shopping (eg Tesco superstore) in Daventry. The countryside is beautiful. I'm a big runner and there are some great cross country runs 5-15km. If you're a walker, this applies too of course. Be warned, Northamptonshire is hillier than you may think! Naseby (civil war site) is a few minutes away by car, along with the pretty market town of Market Harborough. The property I stayed is was fabulous (Austin - 1 bed) Newly renovated, with underfloor heating, modern fitted (induction) kitchen, good sized double bedroom and large walk in shower .... enough room for two ;) Parking is plentiful and within 50m of the properties. It is well off road, but solid gravel underfoot. Angela has done everything to a high standard, so you have nothing to worry about. Angela was kind enough to allow me to store my bikes and bike rack in a locked farm outbuilding. There is a laundry room with two new washers and two new dryers. I understand there are 7 properties available of various sizes. All surrounding a small courtyard. Although all properties were full at the time of my visit I wasn't really conscious of the fact (it was quite peaceful) although maybe in the summer more people would be out on their patio areas in the evening. There are a few clucking hens strutting around who will sell you their freshly laid eggs at a £1 per half dozen (highly recommended) I'm a single dad (14 year old daughter) and am sure that kids would love this location. I understand that dogs are welcome too. There is high speed WiFi and a good flat screen TV. Angela cleaned the "cottage" weekly on a Friday and changed bedding and towels. Angela's style is very laid back. She visibly works like a Trojan and is on site most of the time, but leaves people to their own devices until she is needed. All in all, it was a lovely place to stay. A month in a hotel would have sent me mad. It was more competitive than a hotel and allowed more flexibility (to eat/dine and live as you please).
